Padova began as a dream sprouted from passion and became a reality in March 2016 in Cali, Colombia. The brand’s goal was to appeal to women worldwide as their daily choice at a fair price, a commitment they uphold to this day. The name Padova was inspired by the Italian city where the founder, Catalina Leyva, fervently asked the patron saint, San Francisco de Asis, to grant another one of her great dreams. She asked for help in finding the love of her life with whom she now shares a beautiful family.
After a fruitless attempt at wholesale, Catalina decides to make a pivotal change. As a last attempt at survival, she tries to sell direct-to-consumer by opening a physical locale in Cali.
The change is successful and Padova progresses as a brand. Seeing a promising future, Catalina opens a second store in Cali and asks her sister to join forces with her as they go after the dream together.
The first Padova store in Colombia's capital, Bogota, is officially inaugurated. This step initiates Padova's expansion and sees the brand’s popularity expand to national heights.
